Howdy-
   I'm also not familiar with the BMC tool, but I do know that this  
was one of the (currently dormant) Cheops project's claim to fame:  
http://www.marko.net/cheops/. It looks like that got re-written as  
cheops-ng (http://cheops-ng.sourceforge.net/) which also looks a  
little stale.

While looking into this, I also found this free module from a  
commercial tool: http://www.rocketsoftware.com/portfolio/netcure/.  
And http://www.spiceworks.com/.
