LUBRICATES
WD-40's lubricating ingredients are widely dispersed and hold to all
moving parts. WD-40 does not contain silicone or other additives that
attract dust and dirt.
However, it's a very light lubricant not meant for long term use.
(probably parafin based?)
Following with some light machine oil is often a good thing.
(like the kind you'd find at a sewing machine or hobby shop)
