[SAGE] Tool to split tty I/O?

I seem to recall there once existed a freeware tool that'd split the I/O
of a tty, making it possible for two or more people to interact with the
same shell, locally and remotely.

However, my recent Googling's come up empty.

Does anyone remember such a tool?
